Getting ripped off is a nasty drawing pin in that arse. But shit happens, get used to it.

I've just received a call from the MD of a company whom I first met two years or so ago at a trade show at the NEC. Back then this MD was dismissive and arrogant about 4Networking. Fast forward to the present day, he really wants to "work together" with 4Networking.

Not interested; I had great pleasure in being equally dismissive and arrogant.

Anyone can back a winning horse.

On that basis, look to see who you can back today. Back someone who needs your help, someone to whom you can make a positive and real difference.

We've lost our website three times; on each occasion, as a business we could have been ruined. But we didn't panic; when the boat began to sink, we STOPPED.

We took stock, came up with a plan and carried on. Yes it was hairy and unpleasant, but look: we're still here. There's still a long way to go when the shit starts hitting the fan.

Although shit does indeed happen, it's at these volatile times when you establish who your fair weather friends are and those who, when faced with the option of quitting your corner in the dark days, choose not to.

The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation you are in, but your thoughts about it. So keep the faith that "tomorrow's a brighter day".
